PHYSICAL THERAPY
Franklin Ortiz has joined the team after spending 18 years working in the healthcare industry, specifically in relation to orthopedic and sports physical therapy. Franklin began his journey as a PT Assistant after graduating from Mount Saint Mary’s College. His dream was to always be a Doctor of Physical Therapy and attended Loma Linda University, receiving his BA in Health Science prior to graduating with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
Franklin has a strong passion for Orthopedics and currently holds his status as a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist. Franklin enjoys working with young athletes and is currently the Head Trainer and Sports Medicine Coordinator at Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach. Franklin is certified in DNS A-C, Eldoa Trainer Levels 1-4, FMS and SFMA Level 1, Movement Links Specialist Certified Clinician, Instrument assisted soft-tissue mobilization and multiple Blood Flow Restriction Training Certifications.
Franklin’s areas of expertise include sports specific rehabilitation, functional design mobility, stability training, and post graduate advance manual training. He developed an interest in healthcare and physical therapy as he was involved in various sports throughout his life. He strives to help people reach their exercise and fitness goals. Franklin has strong manual skills, great exercise knowledge and a huge heart.
Franklin enjoys running half marathons, marathons, weight training and surfing in his free time.

Barb Lands, Co-founder of Beach Fitness. Barb is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner & Holistic Health Coach as well as a Personal Fitness Trainer. She has been in the health & wellness industry for more than 15 years and loves coaching people to enhance their health & longevity.

Holly became passionate about nutrition and wellness in 2010 when she became pregnant with her first son. This life transformation inspired her to launch and lead the Orange County Chapter of the Holistic Moms Network – a national non-profit organization supporting holistic parenting and natural living.
